As I sit here trying to think of a list of "must do's" in Copenhagen, I realize that there is no list. During my summer spent gallivanting in Europe, I discovered that it was the surprises that defined my trip. The things I didn't plan for, the places I didn't know existed a moment before I stepped inside. What was so remarkable about Denmark was that I had no idea what to expect, and when I arrived, it was like seeing a new world for the first time. If I had researched [the culture, best places to eat, sights to see, etc] before I arrived then I would have had some accurate expectations. In reality, I had no expectations, therefore nothing to drive my actions one way or the other, besides my impromptu desires.
While this is my own personal experience and opinion, I know that it is not shared by all. Therefore, I have created this website as a place for both personalities. For those who desire to know exactly what they are getting themselves into before departure, there will be links to places to go, sights to see and restaurants to dine. For those who just want a basic idea of the region they are about to traverse and tips for travelling cheaply and efficiently, there is plenty for them as well. But most of all, this website is designed as a forum for those who have previously traveled to share their experiences, so that student's who are trying to chose a location or program might gain some insight to help them make a decision.
I encourage all who visit this site to add your own personal touch and pass it along to your well traveled friends so they can do the same. If you would like to enter extensive amounts of information - photographs, links, more than one post - you can contact me for the login information to this site at forbusla@gmail.com. If you simply have links too add to the site, you can send them to me and I will post them accordingly.
Happy travelling!
